1999 - Discovering a lunar landscape and authentic inhabitants. No current water, no phone, no asphalt. The first impression of the Atlas was medieval. Small markets, primitive accommodation, single tracks and friendly people.
The Ourika valley is an oasis in a lunar-like landscape and the flooded villages in the lake near Asgour are pretty unreal.

HIGHLIGHTS ALONG THE TRIP

SUPPLIES

Take 3 liters water a least on your bike and fill them up where ever you can. Lots of small villages with basic ingredients and in case of emergency, just knock on the door and friendly people will be very helpful.
