2021 - La Ruta de la Plata starts in the Andalusian city of Seville, passes through centuries old towns such as Zafra, Merida, Caceres, Salamanca and Zamora before merging with the Camino Sanabrés which winds up to Compostela through the heart of Galicia. This gravel trail has some slopes of 8% and some parts in Asturias need to be done walking along the bike.

BEST TIME
To avoid wet and muddy tracks, one better rides the trail between April - September. Avoid July and August as temperatures rise above 40° C.
CAMPING
There are plenty of wild camping opportunities throughout the ride. Take your divvy with you as morning dew can make your sleeping bag wet. People are friendly so garden camping is also possible.
SUPPLIES
No need to worry. You find small shops and supermercado's even in small towns. Take advantage of the pelgrim meals offered in bars and cafés. Take a spare sausage or cheese with you in less populate area's in Galicia.
